Where CoQ10 is Found

CoQ10 is found in most tissues, but the highest concentration can be found in the heart, liver, kindeys, and pancreas - and the lowest concentration is in the lungs. Concentrations of CoQ10 in the various tissues decrease as humans age. The amount of CoQ10 in various humans varies widely from person-to-person.

CoQ10 Boosts the Immune System

CoQ10 is immunostimulatory. CoQ10 immunostimulation leads to greater numbers and activities of macrophages and T Cells/Lymphocytes, and greater resistance to infection. CoQ10 also increases CD4 to CD8 T-cell ratios in humans.

CoQ10 and Cancer Treatment

CoQ10 has been used as a treatment for cancer. CoQ10 has indirect anticancer activity through its effects on the immune system. Analogs of CoQ10 can suppress Cancer directly, by inhibiting the spread of cancer cells in vitro and the growth of cancer cells.
